I helped bring Transgender Day of Visibility awareness at Rose State College. I collaborated with RSC Center for Success, Inclusion, and Diversity to create this event.

I booked three speakers: Paula Sophia, RSC Adjunct & "2017 Hero of Hope" recipient for trans-activism; Sara Cunningham, director of Free Mom Hugs - OKC Chapter; and Russell Rooms, nurse practitioner for Diversity Family Health.

We discussed what it means to be transgender, how to advocate, how to be a parent to an LGBT+ child, how to be an ally, hormones, and surgeries. We provided dinner, a gender-affirming clothing closet, and a chance for student clubs and organizations to promote. My press release and flyer for the event were published in the OKC Herald.
