Naturally Curious.

I have had the great fortune of working on some truly inspiring projects while networking with many influential and creative individuals along the way. I believe in the power of teamwork, self-sufficiency, and creativity. I hope to use my education and talents listed below to find work in journalism that celebrates diversity and communities. I enjoy producing a show and creating multimedia journalism work, as well as design elements.
As of May 2023, I will graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications: Professional Media. During my time at UCO, I have won several awards including the UCO's Milton R. Reynolds Most Professionally Advance Student Award and Oklahoma Broadcast Education Association 1st & 2nd place for interactive and multimedia journalism. I also had several leadership opportunities including producing a daily newscast and being Co-Chair for the UCO's Mass Communications Media Ethics Conference 2022.
In December 2021, I graduated from Rose State College with an associate's degree in Fine Arts: Mass Communications. While attending RSC, I have helped as Assistant Editor to create, edit and design content for the RSC Media Group. I have written many articles, designed layouts, photographed various mediums, and managed social media content.
I received the "Humanities Student of the Year 2020-2021" award, "Diversity Champion 2020-2021," and created a Transgender Day of Visibility event for RSC. I also wrote the press release for the event, which was published in the OKC Herald. The event will continue annually under my leadership with the help of the RSC Center for Success, Inclusion, and Diversity. I also received the Tinker Federal Credit Union Civic Leaders Scholarship and the Urban League of Greater OKC Lisa "Lee" Evans Making a Difference Memorial Scholarship.
